Vintage Magazines: Hue Cover Girls

As obviously noted, I have a slight obsession with vintage magazines. Hue is such a rare magazine that there’s not much info out there about it. Copies of this magazine are very scarce as well. A quick search on ebay will reveal zero results. If something is not readily available on ebay, then you know it’s a rare find. Despite all that, I’ve scoured the end of the internet to bring you a collection of rare Hue cover girls all in one place. This actually took quite a bit of time and research. “Hue Magazine was a publication of Johnson Publishing Company. It was a pocket entertainment news magazine published monthly durnig the 1950′s and feature black celebrities and newsmakers. Unlike Jet Magazine, Hue had a back cover and often used it to highlight aspiring actresses and models. The magazine also features a pin-up gallery with lots of photos of pretty girls. “

Vintage Fur: It’s Cold Outside!

I don’t know about yall, but I’ve been freezing my butt off. I’m a native Chicagoan, but I’ve gotten spoiled living on the east coast with mild winters. I’ve been a fan of fur from an early age. I can remember my mom, dad, and myself wearing furs every Sunday when I was younger. My dad had vivid red fox coat and my mother and I had raccoon furs.
In my personal opinion, there is nothing like the warmth that genuine fur provides. I know some people may not think it’s ethical, but humans wearing fur dates back to the very start of our existence. It provided the warmth for people to survive through ices ages and was passed down for many generations. I am not too keen on buying new fur coats, however I support vintage fur because it’s already here and can be recycled over and over with proper treatment.
