  1. Goodbye Etta…

    January 21, 2012 by 16stone

    1938 –  2012

Funny…about 2 weeks ago I was in my room playing “I’d rather go blind” over and over. I sang along every time for almost a full hour. Something about Etta’s sultry voice could make you feel her pain through the music. It was the blues… it was crying woman. I felt every shred of sorrow she encompassed through her voice. Etta, you will never be forgotten.

    Rest… at last.

  2. Jazz Age Lawn Party 2011

Okay I’m like 10 days late posting this up. I apologize, but all the Irene craziness got the best of me. So here’s my recap from Jazz Age Lawn Party with some fabulous 1920′s outfits. I was astounded by the gorgeous outfits out there! There was food, drinks, ice cream, vendor, dancing, performances, and even a vintage fashion show. This was a 1920′s dream come true. I loved it and will be back next year for more.

Here’s a look of what caught my eye including my outfit as well. I found an amazing sequin dress from Beatnix in Chicago for just $40. Enjoy!
